About

Annette Cowie has a background in soil science, with emphasis on sustainable resource management. She contributes to development of climate change policy and greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation in the land sector, including GHG accounting for  GHG inventories and carbon farming at state, national and international levels. She works on standards for carbon footprint quantification and carbon neutrality through the International Standards Organisation. Annette was a lead author in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) Special Report on Climate Change and Land, and Sixth Assessment Report.
