About
After completing his apprenticeship as a carpenter, Johann Gruber decided to dedicate his professional future to timber construction. He was able to gain years of experience as a carpenter, later project manager and master timber builder in a medium-sized Austrian construction company. He has been working at SIHGA in Austria since 2018, starting his career as a product developer and is now responsible for the entire technical and product-specific area. With the experience from timber construction practice and the theoretical knowledge from wood joining technology, SIHGA can contribute this know-how to the projects of the ARC and thus contribute to the promotion of timber construction.

SIHGA GmbH was founded in 2003 by Jane-Beryl Simmer. Wholesale and timber construction are the active trade licenses.
Development of innovative fastening technology for the timber construction, terrace and façade sectors. 570 products divided into 57 product families; 80% of which are in-house developments, SIHGA owns approx. 300 patents in this area. The company employs around 70 people, 25 of whom work in the field and 10 in research and development. 45 million items in stock in the high-bay warehouse, 65,000 shipping packages per year plus 1,900 pallets via forwarding agents, order day = shipping day, error rate per year less than 1 per thousand = benchmark. Research quota 10% of turnover, cooperation with technical colleges, universities, professional associations in Austria and Germany. Test areas in our own outdoor area for checking laboratory results in real operation. SIHGA Academy, also for application training for all SIHGA innovations.
